Reading in Library

Moulton’s
Millionaire Reader Program

Moulton's Millionaire Reader program is simple — we want to motivate students to read more!

Using a program called Accelerated Reader on their Chromebooks, students take short quizzes on books they’ve read and it tracks the total number of words they’ve read throughout the year for them.

As students increase their reading volume, they expand their vocabulary and deepen their language comprehension skills. The more students read, the more confident and capable they become as learners!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Students access a program called Accelerated Reader on their Chromebooks in order to take quizzes on books they have read.

  • When a student reaches 1 million words total, they are welcomed to the Millionaire Reader Club! They will receive a certificate and t-shirt at Flag Ceremony. Many students don't stop at 1 million words - Students earn various other prizes for each additional million words they read!

Reading in Library

FAQs

Q. Do audiobooks count?

A. Yes! Audiobooks count as reading because they deliver the same story, characters, and themes, engaging your brain in comprehension, imagination, and critical thinking, just like print books. They offer benefits like vocabulary building while providing access for those with learning differences.
